STRUCTURAL AUDIT
At CWPC, science drives us while integrity guides us. We have focused ourselves to always walk hand-in-hand with the evolving scientific and technical dynamics. Our skillset of technical consultants in engineering and architectural disciplines brings to you a comprehensive range of services designed to optimize performance, maintenance and repair of buildings, plants, facilities and infrastructure assets. Our motto is not just meet the minimum operational code requirement but to maximize the life cycle of your assets.
Qualitative Services:
- Rebound Hammer Test – Surface Hardness Tester. Analyses the rebound of an elastic mass on the basis of the hardness of the surface against which the mass impinges.
- Ultrasonic Testing – A pulse of longitudinal vibrations, produced by an electro-acoustical transducer held in contact with one surface of the concrete under test. Electrical signals so generated enables to measure the transit time of pulse created.
- Carbonation Test – Testing the reaction of carbon dioxide with hydrated cement minerals present due to the moisture in the atmosphere.
- Half Cell Electrical Potential Method – Measuring the potential of an embedded reinforcing bar relative to a reference half-cell placed on the concrete surface. The half-cell is usually a copper/copper sulphate or silver/silver chloride cell but other combinations are used.
- Compression Test of Core – Determines the strength of hardened concrete in structure. The preferred length of capped specimen is between 1.9 and 2.1 times the diameter. High lengths can be trimmed and for specimens having low length, correction factor has to be applied in compressive test.
